The Skating Rink Museumplein is located in the cultural center of Amsterdam; Museumplein. Museumplein is located in Amsterdam Oud Zuid.
There are 2 entrances:
- On the Rijksmuseum side
- On the MOCO Museum side

We recommend all our visitors to come by bike, on foot or by public transport.
Coming by car anyway? There are several (paid) parking garages around Museumplein.

Several tram lines stop near the Skating Rink Museumplein from Amsterdam Zuid station, Central Station and Amsterdam Amstel. With metro line 52 you can easily travel from Amsterdam Zuid or Central Station to Vijzelgracht stop. From there it’s less than 10 minutes walk to the Skating Rink Museumplein.

The ice rink is not covered. Het Wak (our catering facility), where you can enjoy a bite and a drink, is largely covered. Part of the terrace is not covered.

Yes, the Food & Beverage area of Skating Rink Museumplein is freely accessible. You don’t need a ticket.

The Skating Rink Museumplein is accessible to wheelchair users. Visitors must bring their own wheelchair. There are no wheelchairs available for rent on site. Do you want to enter the skating rink with a wheelchair? Ask one of our colleagues for assistance.

We are aware that we can reduce our impact on the environment. Therefore we take these measures, among others:
- We use the energy-efficient Ice-World system (up to 40% less electricity).
- All electricity is purchased green, without diesel generators.
- No disposable plastic: only recyclable cups and compostable tableware.
- Materials and decorations are modular and are reused at other events.
- Waste is separated and recycled together with local partners.
- We encourage reuse of at least 50% of materials and 75% recycling of cups.
- We work together with local entrepreneurs to support the Amsterdam economy.

You are of course allowed to make an item about the skating rink. A regular (digital) camera, as well as a GoPro camera, is allowed. There are wide paths, ramps, rubber mats and a wheelchair-accessible toilet available. The catering is also easily accessible and offers table service if desired. An entrance ticket gives you access to the Skating Rink Museumplein. Did you buy an entrance ticket with skate rental? Then you can pick up your skates at the skate rental desk.
