School Skating

An active day out for schoolchildren in Amsterdam

From 24 October 2026 to 16 January 2027, primary schools can take part in school skating at Museumplein Ice Rink. Right in the heart of the city, surrounded by the Rijksmuseum and Concertgebouw, pupils can experience ice skating in one of Amsterdam’s most iconic locations.

School skating at Museumplein

School skating is a great way to introduce children to the Dutch skating tradition. Whether they are taking their very first steps on the ice or are already confident skaters looking for a challenge, there is something for every pupil at Museumplein Ice Rink.
