Opening Hours

Skating in Amsterdam? The Museumplein Ice Rink is open this year from Saturday, Oktober 24, 2026, to Friday, Januari 14 , 2027. On weekdays, we are open from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On weekends, we open already at 10:00 AM; on Friday and Saturday you can stay until 11:00 PM, and on Sunday until 10:00 PM. The ice rink itself always closes one hour earlier. So, for example, on Friday and Saturday it is possible to be on the ice until 10:00 PM.

During the Christmas holidays, from December 19, 2026, to January 3, 2027, extended opening hours apply. During this period, the Museumplein Ice Rink is open every day from 10:00 AM. Keep an eye on the website and social media for the most current information.

Skate Rentals

Don’t have your own skates? No problem. At Museumplein, you can easily rent skates in all sizes, from small to large. Rental costs €8 per session. You can purchase a ticket including skate rental in advance via the ticket shop, or arrange it on site.

Prefer to bring your own skates? That’s allowed, as long as they are properly sharpened. Note: figure skates are not permitted.
